S.o.t.D. – Summa – Arvo Pärt

I fell asleep on my couch about 20 years ago as I was listening to Brave New Waves. I woke up as this was playing, and fortunately heard who and what it was. Glad I did as this remains one of my all time favourite pieces of music.

  1. Today I opened your blog to see if there are some new “Songs of the Day”. The last one, Arvo Pärt - Summa - Estonia is catching.

To be honest, since a couple of day’s my iPod is filled with a new playlist called Thomas’s choice.
About 50 songs you have placed on your blog are on this playlist. I specially like Praful (a German, who lives in Holland), Cell, Pretz, Caia, Doktor Rockit, Salt Tank (I already knew) and a lot more. I like ‘Chicane’ also. I discovered them about 10 years ago while I was somewhere in the South of Europe on holiday.
Your taste of music with your “Songs of the Day” are very much going parallel with mine taste of music
    these day’s.

I don’t know if you received my commends lately, but your explanation about the song ‘Summa – Estonia’
is remarkable! Especially the period of time you describe, what a accidental occurrence.

Unfortunate Brave New Waves don’t longer exists.

A few day’s ago I was watching the movie Mr. Brooks. The music in the movie made me crawl behind the computer and look for the guy who has written this music. It’s Ramin Djawadi. At YouTube is a lot to find of him. And according to your taste of music you probably like this to. But maybe I’m wrong.

Maybe you know this site already, but I watch and search a lot on “All Music” http://www.allmusic.com
It’s incredible what you can find there. Give it a try. You be surprised.
