I’ve been looking for this track for ages. I knew it was an artist from Toronto, and that it came out in the late 90’s, 99 I think. I thought for some reason that Ivana Santili was the singer. Looked into that. No. I knew the line “calling you” appeared in the song. Tried looking under that. No luck. (Different spelling.) I thought the artist was called Axis, or Ax:s. Tried those, or Ax:is. No luck. Heard it on internet radio. Ahhhh!! It’s A:xus!

Which is Austin Bascom, who also records as Abacus. The singer is Naomi Nsombi, who besides having a great voice, is also a babe.

Just a very chilled, smooth, groovy, soulful, housy tune. Pretty much a near perfect formula for a track.
