The abandoned Federal Building on Main Street in Hamilton has a nice series of sculptures mounted to the wall by the main entrance. Done by Elizabeth Bradford Holbrook, likely this city’s most notable sculptor, they have a very distinct mid 20th century feel to them. One side of the door shows human endeavour, and the other side shows wildlife. I have them shown bottom to top. The top ones have more pronounced verdigris, likely from bronze flag pole mounts that have since been removed. I have heard a variety of things that are supposed to happen with the building, but I really hope these are preserved somehow, somewhere.
