On a hike around Kejimkujik National Park, I put my meal, clothes, camera and aperitifs in a dry bag, and swam out to a rock in a lake. I sat out there for quite a while, well past dusk. The mosquitoes were active, but the whole time large dragonflies buzzed around my head taking care of the problem.
I sat there randomly snapping photo after photo, in the hopes of catching an image of a dragonfly. Most shots were useless, but I did get two good ones. The flash on the camera caught not only the dragonfly, but whatever it was chasing as well.
